E3D Designer / 3D Modelling

Practical modelling for equipment, piping, structures, supports, model navigation, coordination and project-oriented design workflows.

E3D Designer / 3D Modelling

About this course

A hands-on design track covering the modelling workflows used on real plant projects — from equipment placement and piping routes to structures, supports and model coordination. The objective is not only to learn commands, but to understand why each workflow exists and how it is applied in project delivery.

Like every Trainopedia program, this course follows the Learn → Demonstrate → Practice → Troubleshoot → Apply method: each workflow is explained in its engineering context, demonstrated in the software, practised through guided exercises and connected to realistic project situations.

Curriculum outline

  • Model navigation, hierarchy and project explorer
  • Equipment modelling from GA drawings and vendor data
  • Piping modelling, specifications and components
  • Structural modelling, platforms and supports
  • Clash review, coordination and model checks
  • Drawings, reports and project deliverables

The detailed syllabus, duration and schedule are shared on enquiry and can be adjusted for corporate batches.

Who this course is for

  • Fresh graduates building a foundation in engineering software and project workflows
  • Designers and engineers strengthening software knowledge beyond commands
  • Professionals moving into administration, configuration or expanded project roles
  • Engineering teams that need consistent, role-relevant software knowledge
